Allison Barrow is a passionate impressionist artist who captures the brilliance of her subjects with bold brush strokes in watercolor. Her artistry is deeply rooted in plein air painting, resonating with an emotional connection that conveys narratives of serenity, sparkle, and gratitude, primarily centered around the theme of landscapes.
Allison’s creative process revolves around transparent watercolor, employing an impressionist approach to landscape. Bold brush strokes infuse her works with rich, saturated colours, pushing the boundaries of light and shadow. Working primarily a la prima, her art captures the swirling moments of nostalgia she experiences, allowing her to transport her audience to a particular moment in time. "My paintings serve as a reflection of my unique perspective on life, evoking extraordinary memories of tradition, moments of celebration, and the simple, exquisite joy of being."

I was raised on a little hobby farm in Markham, surrounded by horses, goats and chickens. After graduating from University of Toronto and earned my CMA designation, I pursued a career in finance while raising our 3 daughters in Markham and King Township.
My artwork is driven and inspired by my summers spent in Nova Scotia where I’m surrounded by nature and the vast Atlantic Ocean. It is then created here in Newmarket where my home studio is located. I am a lifelong hobby artist and have chosen to work with pottery because of the strong connection to nature and its ability for expression.

Meghan started her business journey in 2014 as a creative outlet while working full-time as a nurse. What began as a hobby making body care products quickly gained interest from friends and family. In 2015, she officially launched her small business, not expecting it would one day become her full-time career. Initially, Meghan created products in her free time, driven by her love for candy-scented aromas, which were difficult to find. This passion led her to develop unique formulations for bath bombs, which eventually grew into a full line of body care products.
By 2018, Meghan reached a turning point where she had to choose between expanding her business or continuing her nursing career. She took the leap, leaving nursing to pursue her passion full-time. Now, her brand offers a vibrant range of self-care products, all handmade with 95% natural ingredients, free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates, and both vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Drawing on her nursing background, Meghan ensures her formulations are not only fun and colorful but also gentle on the skin, promoting self-care as a priority for everyone.

Delvea (Del) is my name and I am an artist self-taught in a variety of media, resulting in a highly developed but very personal style. I started showing my work in the mid 90’s and first came to attention as a charter member of the “Jefferson Street Gallery” in Ellicottville, New York for two years. It was through my exposure there that a steady following developed throughout western New York, my ‘horse’ portraits being particularly in demand. I was honored to be selected as one of Ducks Unlimited Artists of the year in 1998. Then after several years attending to ‘life’ I am back at it and painting what I love!
I have learned and continue to learn a great deal from other artists since moving to Kawartha Lakes in 2009. I love that it’s “horse country” lol. There are endless vistas and natural scenery that offer so much inspiration here. Although I paint all forms of wildlife, Equine art has and will always be the most passionate and fulfilling artwork I do. Enjoy!
I can be contacted via email at delveatuff@gmail.com
Or through my website www.delvea.com

Grilling with Shine’s Intoxologist, Sven Mcoy and Grill Master, Troy de Bois have spent years researching and perfecting blends of exotic spices while developing their exclusive ‘moonshine infused’ technique… and they are proud to say ‘We nailed it!’
To add gas to the flames, Grilling with Shine has teamed up with one of Canada’s top craft distillers, Copperhead Distillery from Sundridge, Ontario and are now exclusively using their Backwoods Moonshine for all of our ‘moonshine infused’ spices.
All of our small-batch spice runs use our ‘moonshine infused’ technique to add a new flavour note and it brings home those backwoods memories…
Our first four spice blends out of the gate are:
‘Rub me Arse’ moonshine infused bbq rubis the perfect rub for pork, chicken, duck, goose or even vegetables… with a slight hit of peppers to bring you grilling up a notch.
‘Black Eye Shiner’ moonshine infused Cajun Blackened Rubis a cross between a visit to New Orleans and Jamaica and creates a beautiful spicy crust perfect for fish, oysters, chicken or whatever you can dream of…
‘Bull Shine’ moonshine infused steak spicegrabs your meat and puts it somewhere between Montreal and Nashville with a tang that wakes up any cut of meat.
‘Rise and Shine’ moonshine infused cocktail rimmer…the perfect start and finish to any Bloody Caesar or Bloody Mary

Jeannine Rosenberg has developed and refined her silver smithing skills over the last 15 years. Arizona born and raised, her silver jewelry reflects the colour, geography and history of her background.
She uses untraditional materials such as Fordite, Leland blue, antique buttons, fossils and shells in her pendants, necklaces, rings and bracelets. Colourful, unusual stones and surface textures are also a trademark of Jeannine's jewelry. Using torch, saw and imagination she works to incorporate and celebrate the unique story found in each of these materials.
Jeannine also loves the challenges presented by custom work as it allows a unique collaboration between client and artisan and the possibility of creating a family heirloom to be cherished for years to come. She also offers one-on-one classes in her Goodwood, Ontario studio space.

Born on June 24, 1960 in Chapleau Ontario, Kim spent her summers up at “the camp” where she developed an interest in nature, photography, and family history. She pursued her interest in visual art by studying at Western University where she earned an Honors Degree in Fine Arts. Her life-long passion for visual arts led her to become a teacher, a career in which she was able to share her love and knowledge of art with her students. Over the years, she has held numerous shows, each of which allowed her to explore an aspect and time of her life through her favorite art form, mixed media. Kim’s pieces, which are characterized by a mix of her original photography, vintage photographs, and ephemera, as well as three-dimensional found objects, capture a moment in time that reflect and embrace experiences from her life. She draws inspiration from her hometown, its people, landmarks, and environment, as well as artists such as Carl Beam and Robert Rauschenberg. Kim believes the universal themes of life reside in specific moments and experiences, and reflects this belief through her explorations of those small occasions in life that carry great meaning. She encourages viewers to look at and consider these seemingly simple everyday moments and challenges them to reflect on how it is in these minute points in time that we develop a deeper understanding of our lives.

Born & raised in Toronto, I’ve been drawing most of my life - largely because I’ve always loved doing it.
While living in Toronto & working in the book industry, I always made time to draw in order to regain some balance with work-life. Making space for some fun, creative, play has always been very important.
My partner & I moved to Uxbridge in 2021 where I now work with multi-media on heavy acid-free, archival, watercolour paper. While my work is often nature-based, it is just as often an imagined scene or composition that I think of as a still from an animated film - that the viewer can have fun with.
It’s really that I just want to make up a scene and see where it goes.
I hope it’s been worth the trip.
I have participated in the Uxbridge Art on the Fringe Art Fair & have shown at the Preston Gallery in Uxbridge. Won an Award of Excellence at the Annual Oshawa Juried Art Show in April, 2024.

A resident of Uxbridge, Simon Pellerin is a 24-year-old recent graduate of the Fine Arts program at York University. He frequently works with naturalistic imagery, focusing on life and the processes of decay and destruction. He aims to critique the heavy emphasis placed on aesthetic values by creating art that looks playful and inviting on the surface, yet reflects the environment, memory, morality and mortality. Simon attempts to leave his viewers contemplative or sometimes uneasy. He loves to experiment with different mediums, explore various themes and spend every free moment he has creating art. Currently, he is working as a high school Art teacher sharing his passion for art with students and hoping to foster that same passion in them.

I have lived in Stouffville since 1980. My husband has lived here since he was 9 years old. Our first house was on Main Street. We now live on the edge of town and have been in the same house for 37 years.
I started yarn art in 1986. Both knitting and crochet were relatively self taught as I am left-handed and did not know any other lefties that could teach me. It was pretty hit or miss whether I was doing something correctly. The internet has helped me immensely in recent years.
Approximately 10 years ago I was introduced to the fun of creating soft toys. At that time, I was working full time and only had a chance to create during the evening. I have since retired but have kept to that habit so that the joy of watching a small creature come to life is still fresh.
It takes me about a week from start to finish to make each one, depending on the size and complexity.
I have been known to crochet an afghan or two as a mindless project in the car, but the toys are my first love. I hope that you enjoy them also and that they bring a smile to someone’s life.

Sarah started her artistic journey in jewellery; the exploration of kiln-formed glass began in 2010 as a means of adding a dramatic pop of colour to sterling silver designs and quickly became her primary love.
Sarah’s glass education has been both formal and experiential. She has had the good fortune to learn from glass Masters, as well as taken time for much personal trial and error. She loves learning new techniques in glass manipulation. Her portfolio includes a wide breadth of works including the wearable, the functional and the sculptural.
"The scope of glass as a medium captivates me and has taken hold: colour, depth, light and shadow.... It's irresistible.
The transformational possibilities with kiln-forming glass are endless. And it's as much a journey of self-exploration as an exploration of the materials.
I find such joy in finding new ways to use heat and gravity to transform glass material in the kiln.
The last few years have allowed me to revisit, combine and refine my skills. I appreciate being able to bring beauty into the world with each new creation."

I bought my first sewing machine in 2021 during COVID to keep myself busy during the lockdown. What started out as a pass time turned into a hobby, and now, my passion. I love to work on a variety of projects and learn new skills along the way. Having recently retired, I hope to have more time to create, sew and share my creations. Living in Uxbridge for the last nine years, I have really enjoyed the many walking trails the township has to offer, finding tranquility in the woods.

Working as a high-school English teacher and as a housecleaner/gardener, she's also a writer, multi-instrumentalist, and sister to seven siblings. She studies architecture, computer programming, and philosophy. When taking breaks, she trains martial arts, does Chinese brush calligraphy, experiments with calisthenics, and takes long walks with her dog Ragnarok.
Odelia began creating with chainmail in October 2023. A year later, she launched PRIA, her own line of handmade chainmail jewellery.
PRIA stands for "PRe-Industrial Aesthetics," and was born out of a love for intricate designs, unique tactile experiences, and beautiful jewellery. Each piece was crafted with joy at a tiny home studio right here in Goodwood.
Following many decades of creating with fabric, I was introduced to acrylic paint pouring a number of years ago and a new passion was born. I am inspired by color, nature, the pure delight of the process. Each piece is unique. I love the creativity this art form allows me to express.

Using a non-toxic, environmentally friendly hardener to sculpt her large and small figurines, each with a unique personality and an ethereal life force.
Anja found a unusual way of working with recycling materials like natural fibers, vintage lace and doilies, which she then use in her work to give lasting life for many years to come. She often focuses on the female form for its limitless variety, with each having a personality and ethereal life force of its own.
Working with various fabrics and other natural materials presents unique challenges and possibilities – and it has given Anja an unusual freedom in creating sculpture and art.
Emigrated from the Netherlands in the summer of 2000 with her husband and Jack Russel, now settling in rural Sunderland is where Anja has her studio. It is where she winds down and gets her creative juices flowing. This special spot provides the perfect backdrop for her creative spirit. She also facilitates workshops in her studio so that others can experience the artistic magic that keeps her engaged. “Teaching workshops really charges me, as I offer many different one-day and half-day courses, from bare bones beginner to more advanced techniques”.

Tinkerer, maker, occasional wearer of hats – Jamie Leonard is a man of two, possibly three talents. Residing in Goodwood, ON – he enjoys restoring and re-purposing furniture and vintage industrial items into decorative and functional pieces that bring new life to items that would otherwise find their way to landfills, or disappear into rust and ghosts of usefulness. It’s about new life, new purpose, and bringing a piece of the past into daily use once more.
As an artist, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to paint and draw without limits. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums working mostly in acrylics.
My style is largely experimental, exploring and pushing boundaries to see if one can still recognize my intention.

In 2014 they made their first batch of non-alcoholic cider with their apples (Empire, McIntosh and Red Delicious) and the help of a mobile cider press. Apples of Glasgow Apple Cider is uniquely packaged and therefore does not need to be refrigerated ever. It stays fresh for 3 months after opening and unopened it is good for one year from the date of pressing.
Operating Apples of Glasgow has been a labour of love since they moved there in 2010 and they hope to continue making cider every year.

I started my craft business (Fresh Twist) fifteen years ago with a line of baby hats and women's felt cloche hats. Three books have been published of some of these designs. One of these books placed number two in the 'Arts and Craft' section of Amazon.uk.
During Covid, I started playing around with silver wire making crochet, twisted and braided jewelry. I have since added gemstones and leather to these original pieces.
Currently living in Port Perry, I am very excited to be part of 'Goodwood Mercantile'!

Our philosophy is clean, top-quality ingredients. Our method is artisanal, and our results are complex, unique, beautiful botanical scents.
The inspiration for our botanical eaux de parfum is rooted in my childhood. The farm I grew up on in Prince Edward County was a place of gardens and flowers, animals and life outdoors. Emily spent many long vacations there visiting her Grandparents and playing in the barn.
No matter what happened in the world, that 64-acre farm was a place where we could always find joy. The scents we make are our way of carrying that joy forward into the world.
I hope you feel that joy every time you put on some Goodthings.
With gratitude and 64-acres of joy,
Andy

Corry is a long time resident of Uxbridge. He turned his first bowl in high school, then revisited his love for the hobby again in retirement.
Creating about 50 woodworking items a year, Corry thoughtfully crafts bud vases, candlesticks, tea light holders, and his personal favourite, turned bowls. Corry’s preferred wood type is burls, where the wood grain runs in multiple directions. Voids, bark and spalting are often included in his bowl work, organically shaping pieces to allow the natural features of the wood to stand out. Corry takes pride in sourcing most of his materials locally, often giving new life to removed or fallen trees.
Each of Corry’s pieces truly tells its own story and he hopes you enjoy their design as much as he enjoys crafting them.
